Shari Thomas
Special Advisor to the Executive Director
As Special Advisor to the Executive Director, Shari will bring her expertise in donor engagement and nonprofit theater support to FSWW. She has dedicated much of her career to raising funds and producing events that create unique experiences for donors and public audiences at National Public Radio (NPR). As Executive Director of Donor Experience, she orchestrated conversations and musical performances to inspire both individual and foundation funding from across the country. Currently, Shari is working with The Billie Holiday Theatre, managing The Black Seed fund, a national initiative designed to provide support for small and mid-sized theater institutions and programs. A theater enthusiast from an early age, the native Washingtonian focused on acting, singing, and creative writing during her undergraduate studies. Additionally, she serves on the board of the Latin American Youth Center in DC, which empowers black and brown youth from low-income communities to achieve a successful transition into adulthood.
